Lappi Ravintola is a restaurant website built for a dining establishment in Helsinki, Finland. The goal was to create a clean, atmospheric digital presence that reflects the restaurant's character and makes it easy for guests to explore the menu, find the location, and get in touch.
The site was built with React and Next.js, deployed on Vercel for fast global delivery. The design emphasises warm aesthetics, legible typography, and a straightforward layout that puts the food and experience front and centre.
Mobile responsiveness was a priority given that most restaurant searches happen on phones - the layout adapts cleanly across all screen sizes.

The hard part
Restaurant websites need to communicate atmosphere as much as information. The design had to feel warm and inviting without sacrificing clarity - guests should be able to find the menu, hours, and location in seconds.
How it was solved
I led with the visual tone - warm colour palette, generous whitespace, and photography-forward layout - while keeping the information architecture dead simple. Key details (menu, address, contact) are reachable within one or two taps from any page.
